A farm in the middle of the city?  That’s right!

The farm was formerly known as the 7th Street Garden, and they are dedicated to raising food in the city to increase the ability of low-income inner city residents access to fresh foods.   The farm raises a variety of fresh vegetables and sells them at the Bloomindale Farmers Market in Washington, DC.  They also run a variety of programs and classes, and even opportunities to get your hands dirty.  See the website for details.

The farm is fairly Metro accessible from the Rhode Island Ave station on the Red Line (about 6-7 blocks).
